The concept of development, which means meeting the needs of the present generations, i.e., the existing ones, and effectively enabling them to benefit from economic development, Where the concept of sustainable development has witnessed great development since the beginning of the sixties of the last century to today, It was also associated with economic growth And also social, political and cultural.

(James Speth), Director of the United Nations Development Program for Sustainable Development, defined it as: “Development that not only generates growth, but also normalizes its revenues as well. In their lives, it is development in favor of the poor, nature, and women, and is based on a way that preserves the environment. It is a development that increases people's empowerment and achieving justice among them.

The Sustainable Development was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

To eradicate poverty in all its forms, combat inequality and tackle climate change, while ensuring that all are engaged in these efforts.

Sustainable development is a global socio-economic term, in which the United Nations has drawn a map for environmental, social, and economic development worldwide. Its most important goal is to improve living conditions and development of production methods.
